EPA - IMPORTANT SCIENTIFIC STUDY - NEW HEARING DATES
EPA has set new dates for hearings in Binghamton, NY for its important fracking study - September 13 and 15. The EPA is conducting a comprehensive research study
to investigate the potential adverse impact that hydraulic fracturing may have on water quality and public health. Send your comments to EPA - due before September 15.
The EPA has a "tipline". for citizens to contact the EPA directly - for water, drilling, and health issues.

GAS DRILLING IS NOT A BENIGN ACTIVITY
The Upper Delaware River Watershed Basin - is the source of pure-water for over
5% of the U.S. population in Philadelphia, New York City, here, and half of New Jersey. Besides temporary disruptions there is much irreversible damage to water, air, habitat, land, wildlife, quality of life, human health, property values.
FRAC-GAS IS WORSE THAN COAL
When the total emissions of greenhouse gases are considered, gas obtained by fracking, and coal from mountain-top removal probably have similar releases,
and in fact the gas may be worse in terms of consequences on global warming ...

HALLIBURTON SECRET GAS DRILLING PROCESS
There is constant venting and flaring which causes severe air pollution, and each deep gas well uses millions of gallons of water, sand, 171 products, and 645 chemicals (some secret & toxic). Halliburton's gas well drilling process, "hydraulic fracturing" - is now exempt from the "Safe Drinking Water Act," "The Clean Water Act," "The Clean Air Act," "The Right-to-Know-Act", and other protections. See NRDC report: . . . read more
The Upper Delaware River Watershed Basin - the source of pure-water for 17 million people. After meetings with the PA Department of Environmental Protection (PA-DEP) and NY Department of Environmental Conservation (NY-DEC) - experts have calculated that over 20,000 wells will be drilled in the Upper Delaware River Watershed Basin. ONE well requires 5 to 9 million gallons of water in the initial drilling, and up to that much each time the well undergoes the hydraulic-fracturing process used to access the gas. This water is allowed to be taken from our streams, lakes, rivers, and aquifers. It is left polluted by the chemicals used in the drilling and fracturing. Some of this water leaches into the drinking water aquifers and surface waters. Even the industry claim that gas drilling will create jobs and economic benefits - has now been shown to be false.
Please see 19-page document sent by our board, experts, and legal team to
DRBC [Delaware River Basin Commission]. This federal/four-state commission
has a U.S. Supreme Court-ordered mandate to manage and protect the
special public waters of the entire Upper Delaware River Basin region.
Please help us to protect your drinking water and land and properties.
Read the facts; talk to your neighbors; donate.
We are working hard to prevent the dire effects of gas drilling - in the Upper Delaware Watershed [which includes the entire NYC Watershed]. Halliburton and Exxon-Mobil,
Cabot, Chesapeake, Stone, Hess and their foreign partners have begun deployment
within the Watershed region.
